Being Thankful – Gratitude in the Family

Being thankful is tough, especially when it involves the sickness or loss of a loved one. Giving thanks always and rejoicing continually doesn’t seem very logical, let alone possible.

It’s never easy facing death, especially when it’s a family member. As my father-in-law struggles with his health, I’ve seen his family carrying out a remarkable display of thanksgiving. It’s quite extraordinary. The legacy of Greg Pitts is something to not only admire, but also emulate. No one likes to deal with death. To wrestle with impending death. Or to face the loss of a loved one – past or present. However, we can have thanksgiving for many things in the face of death… especially when we know Christ.
